1. Introduction

Welcome to Ntech Smart Garage (referred to as “we,” “our,” or “us”). These terms and conditions govern your purchase, use, and installation of our Ntech Smart Garage Opener and Camera products (the “Products”) sold through our website (www.ntechsmartgarage.com.au). By purchasing and using our Products, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

2. General Terms

2.1. The Products sold on www.ntechsmartgarage.com.au comply with Australian standards and are intended for use within Australia.
2.2. All devices include a 12-month warranty against manufacturer defects. This warranty excludes damage caused by misuse, installation errors, or environmental factors outside the device’s design parameters.

3. Product Options

3.1. Standard Option

• Includes devices and installation instructions in document format.
• Customer must follow the instructions and get the devices configured and installed.
• Delivery via Australia Post with tracking, estimated within 3–6 business days.

3.2. Premium Option

• Includes pre-configuration of devices (optional) and a video call (optional) for installation guidance.
• For pre-configuration, the customer must:
  • Create a Tuya Smart account using their email address and a basic password (format: First Name + Post Code, e.g., Patrick3336).
  • Provide their Tuya Smart username, password, WiFi SSID, and WiFi password.
• Customer can either follow the instructions provided and get the devices configured and installed or we can take the customer, configuration and installation process through a video call.
• Pre-configuration adds 1 extra business day to delivery.
• Delivery via Australia Post with tracking, estimated within 3–6 business days post-configuration.
• Delay in providing the required details may result in delivery delays.

4. Installation and Usage

4.1. The Ntech Smart Garage Opener is compatible with most panel/sectional and tilt garage door motors. Compatibility with roller doors is partial. Customers must confirm compatibility before purchase. Free compatibility checks are available upon request.
4.2. Installation must follow the provided instructions. Damages or issues arising from improper installation are the customer’s responsibility.
4.3. The devices are only compatible with 2.4GHz WiFi. Customers must ensure adequate WiFi signal in the garage prior to purchase. Assistance is available for pre-purchase queries.
4.4. For security and safety:

• Customers must set a strong password for their Tuya Smart account.
• Customers are responsible for ensuring the garage surroundings are clear before operating the door remotely.

4.5. If using pre-configuration services, customers must change their Tuya Smart account password to a stronger password after delivery.

4.6. Garage motor operates on 240V live current; it is the customer’s responsibility to take appropriate safety precautions during installation.

4.7. Interruptions or failures of third-party services, including Wi-Fi connectivity, smartphone app performance, or service interruptions.

5. Troubleshooting and Support

5.1. First steps for troubleshooting:

• Turn off/on the ceiling switch powering the Garage Motor/Smart Garage Opener/Camera. Ensure a working WiFi/Internet connection.

5.2. If unresolved, contact us at info@ntechsmartgarage.com.au or via phone. Support inquiries will be addressed within 48 hours.
5.3. Resetting devices may require reconfiguration. This is the customer’s responsibility using the provided instructions.
5.4. Changes to WiFi SSID or password necessitate device reconfiguration.

5.5. It’s customers responsibility to keep the Tuya Smart app up to date with regular updates.

6. Sensor Battery Maintenance

6.1. The sensor battery (CR2450) lasts approximately six months. Replacement is the customer’s responsibility. Failing to do so may result in incorrect notifications.
6.2. Caution is advised when replacing the battery to avoid damaging the sensor circuit. Damage to the sensor circuit will require replacement of the entire Ntech Smart Garage Opener kit, which is not covered under warranty.
6.3. A battery replacement guide is available on our website. We recommend watching that video before attempting to replace the sensor battery.

7. Exclusions and Limitations

7.1. We are not liable for:

• Damages caused during installation or usage.
• Security breaches through garage access.
• Loss or damage from installing the devices onto existing garage motors.

7.2. Installation of safety beam sensors is required to comply with Australian safety standards. This is the customer’s responsibility.
7.3. Technical support is not provided for third-party integrations (e.g., Alexa, Google Assistant, Apple Kit).

8. Returns and Replacements

8.1. Faulty devices with verified manufacturer defects may be replaced within 12 months of purchase.
8.2. Report issues via email at info@ntechsmartgarage.com.au. Replacements will only be processed after verification.

8.3. If a genuine issue with the device persists after troubleshooting, a replacement may be issued within 4 weeks of reporting, subject to verification.

9. Privacy and Security

9.1. Personal information provided for configuration purposes, including Tuya account details and WiFi credentials, will be handled with confidentiality and deleted post-configuration.
9.2. Customers are advised to change their Tuya Smart account password after pre-configuration for enhanced security.

10. Battery Warning

10.1. The sensor contains a coin/cell button battery.

• Hazard: Keep batteries out of reach of children.
• Medical Attention: Seek immediate medical assistance if swallowed.

11. Disclaimer

11.1. Ntech Smart Garage is not responsible for any voided manufacturer warranties, loss, or damage caused by installing the devices on existing garage motors.
11.2. By purchasing and using our Products, customers assume all responsibility for ensuring safe and proper use in compliance with Australian standards.
